Razer will launch their own Smartband. Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has revealed that the Nabu smartband will soon be launching for under $100 and will be available first in the US within the next month or two.
Razer has designed their new Nabu smartband to subtly vibrate when an incoming notification is received and with a simple turn of your wrist, the Private Message Screen instantly activates to reveal details of the notification.
The Razer Nabu comes with its own App that supports both Android and iOS devices and supports a number of applications including Twitter, Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook.
Razer explains : “Nabu enables your favorite apps to provide a more accurate overview of your daily activities by using advanced algorithms to calculate your captured raw data. With your bio data visualized on your smartphone, it’s easier to realize your activity trends as well as set and achieve personal goals.
Nabu utilizes Pulse, Razer’s proprietary band-to-band communication technology, to detect other nearby Nabu wearers in your social circles – people on your Friends list like old high school buddies, or even family. “
The Razer Nabu is fitted with a 128 x 32 OLED Private Message Screen, is splash proof and equipped with an accelerometer, altimeter, vibration motor and is capable of running for 5-7 days on a single charge. Using Bluetooth 4.0 LE to connect to your iPhone 5 or Android devices running Android 4.3 and higher.
