Find your Lost Android Phone With Google’s New Tool!

If you are an iPhone user, you must be familiar with the official Apple application dubbed as “Find My iPhone” that helps users locate and remotely wipe their device in case it’s misplaced or stolen. Until now, Android users had  to rely on third party applications but now Google has finally jumped into the whole situation and launched an official application known as Android Device Manager.

With Android Device Manager, users can remotely locate their device in case of theft or if it’s misplaced and remotely wipe out data to protect their privacy. The device is displayed on a map in real-time. Apart from that the application will also let you ring your device at its maximum volume so that you can find it.

The service will be available by the end of this month and requires Android 2.2 to work properly. Additionally, you must be logged in with your Google account in order to use the service. There will also be an application to manage and locate your device, which is expected to hit the Google Play Store very soon.

Stay tuned for more.
