As its been the trend lately with Apple, they didn’t do anything too unexpected at the event but they did launch good products that we can definitely appreciate. As expected, Apple today officially announced a new addition to their range of tablets devices along with various new additions to its product range. Here are the details of everything they announced at today’s press conference.
iPad Mini
- Dual Core A5 Processor.
- Upto 10 hours of Battery Life.
- 7.9-inch LED-Backlit Multi-Touch display with a resolution of 1024×768(same as iPad 1 & 2)
- Remarkably Thin at 7.2mm and Unbelievably Light at 308 g.
- On the Front is 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD Camera & On the the back is a 5 megapixel iSight camera with auto-focus, face detection and a f/2.4 aperture five element lens with backside illumination.
- 1080p HD Video Recording.
- Lightning Connector.
- LTE Support
- New SmartCover available in five different colours.
4th Generation iPad
- Powerful and Faster A6X Processor.
- New Lightning Dock Connector.
- Starts at $499 for 16GB Model. Pricing is Same as Previous Generation iPad.
Retina Macbook Pro 13
- 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with IPS technology.
- 2560×1600 Resolution at 227 pixel per inch(ppi).
- Powered by Intel Dual-Core i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge Processor with specifications starting equipped with a 2.5 Ghz dual-core i5.
- 8 GB of RAM.
- 128-768 GB of Solid State Disk(SSD) Storage.
- Thinner and Lighter than the Old Macbook Pro 13.
- Two USB 3.0, Two Thunderbolt Ports, SD Card Slot, MagSafe 2 Power Port, and a HDMI port.
- Intel HD Graphics 4000 Graphics Card.
- Equipped with a FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones and stereo speakers.
- Starts at $1699 for Base Configuration.
Updated Mac Mini
- 4 GB of RAM.
- 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Processor.
- 500 GB Hard Drive.
- Server Model Comes with a Faster i7 Processor and 1 TB Hard Drive.
- Pricing Starts at $599.
Updated iMac
- Available as 21.5-inch and 27-inch models.
- 1920×1080 and 2560×1440 Resolutions Respectively.
- Apple Fusion Drive: It’s a new storage system that supposedly combines the best of SSD and HDD.
- Apple Fusion Drive is made up of a 128 GB solid-state drive(SSD) paired with a 1 or 3 TB hard drive that stores programs on the SSD and documents on the HDD.
- It’s Crazy Thin. The Thinnest Model yet. They are 80% thinner than their predecessors.
- Starts at $1299 for 21.5 inch Model and $1799 for 27 inch Model.
So to say the least, I’m Officially Impressed. Apple did right by just about everyone in this conference. I guess, it’ll be a very happy holiday season for the Apple Fans.
