IO Interactive has put together a new video showcasing its upcoming title, Hitman: Absolution. The Video is the first to contain gameplay footage, and it depicts how Agent 47 kills people, wears disguises, and hides bodies.

The voiceover in the video describes Agent 47’s methods as “intimate and painless” or “gruesome and violent”, promising a certain amount of player freedom to choose which.

The game will include new gameplay features, improved enemy intelligence and a new ‘Instinct’ mode that will help players blend into certain roles.  According to IO Interactive, Hitman Absolution will be a “more personal story” than previous games.

Hitman: Absolution is set for release later this year on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
